Small things are short stories that are under 1000 words that you write during your free time. You then perfect them until they are the best they can be. While you may only take a few minutes to write the initial piece, you can take hours or days afterwards to edit the story. A lot of people don't like reading. In order to be a writer, you'd better get over that, because reading is important for writing skills, and discovering what style of writing you like, etc. The possibilities are endless! If you are interested in guest posting and having your own article here, email me!Part 1Small things are beginner pieces for writers and are great for getting your work out there. These short stories can be published to literary magazines or just read by your friends. They are used as a practice exercise and will teach you a lot about writing in general, and can make you feel good about your writing. It takes a lot of work to get one, even when the initial piece is written in a short amount of time, because the editing you do afterwards is hard core. Once again, have fun with this and post any results you may have here! Feedback is welcome!! If anyone posts their results, be encouraging, but if you see something that needs to be fixed, say it! This will help them improve and will help you improve, believe it or not. Have a great day guys, and keep writing! Part 2Reading is something I consider fun. I have always considered it something I enjoy. But i also know that there are people who do not want to read. You know, life will be better for you if you are good at reading, but if you don't enjoy it, fine - unless you are a writer, or want to be one. Reading and writing go hand and hand. Read books that your target audience enjoys, and you get a sense of what to include in your story. Writing doesn't care whether or not you LIKE reading, you just need to do it. Gain that love for reading if you want to survive in the writer universe. :) So in the comments, post a list of the books you liked reading, the books you read over and over, the book you can't wait for it to come out, your favorite author, and the book you are reading now. Have an amazing week, see you next week in the next article I write!

You could post it this week if you want, just not today. Basically, i don't care what you do just make it writing related.
