This article is dealing with combined words, like ship names, and made up words. A writer advises not to use made up words. However, the same author says to feel free to use words that combine two or more words. Don’t use words like hygbigit, but use words like #amazeability (for those of you who get that reference). Ship names and other combined words like them (psychic-path) I made that one up. Words like hyperdiculous are not necessary, unless you are writing a book called What We Found in The Sofa and How it Saved the World. Yep, that is a real book. Read it sometime, it’s pretty cool. Anyway. Shiftasik is a word that I made up for my alien story. I guess alien stories with other languages don’t count in the made up word category. There is much debate over what counts as a combined word and a made up word, so look that up if you want further information.
The point being: don’t use made up words (whatever that means to you) and use combined words like #amazeability. Oh yeah, and make up weird character names to make up for your lack of imaginary words (hi, Ocubulisubustion, I’m looking at you.) (Oc is a character in my Worlds series. Check out the website, acwolfe-worlds.weebly.com. Have a nice day and try not to die when the world is destroyed by nukes! Oh yeah, use slang if it’s not a formal story. If you want a formal story, then you came to the wrong place. So have fun!
