Admit it, everybody. Drawing people is hard. Fun, yes, but hard. All those body parts... how on Earth do you make them look natural? Practice, my dear friends, and one of these. I have no idea what they are called, so I very intelligently decided to call them “proportional art helping thingys.” Yeah, I am a genius. But in all seriousness (or maybe 3/4 seriousness), these can drastically improve the people you draw.
if you are anything like me, your people are all in the same position. Since I suck at drawing hands, most of the time that means ramrod straight with hands in their pockets. This also meant that all my people wore jeans and a t-shirt. And then I was introduced to two things. #1, the amazing world of reference, where I took an overly long amount of time copying down positions of people and a whole host of other things, and #2, the proportional art helping thingy. Once introduced to these, I was amazed at how I could actually draw people doing things, not just loitering around with their hands in their pockets. Get one, and use it, if you really want to draw. The end. Oh, and have a great day. You deserve it.
